Episode 6: The Long View
w/ musician, artist, performer Bob Marsh, music recs by Kevin Cameron
Episode 6 of Sustainable Creativity is live now!
This is a big one! I turn 50 today and I wanted to talk to a maker who’s maintained a thriving creative practice far longer than I have. Musician, visual artist and performance artist, Bob Marsh is an inspiration for anyone who is engaged in making, discovering and learning.
Bob takes us all the way back to 1948 when he was 4 years old to describe his first recollection as a maker:
“I sang this song, which only had one note and one word to the chow dog, and it was “chow, chow, chow, chow, chow, chow, chow, chow, chow, chow, chow, chow, chow, chow, chow, chow, chow, chow.”
-Bob Marsh
I share some excerpts about my creative practice from letters that I’ve written to myself over the past 30 years.
Kevin Cameron of Superdune brings us some musical recommendations from Brazil, Scotland and beyond.
